Day two with Pika, and she is an amazing dog. She is laid back, but still playful and goofy, loves to cuddle and lie at your feet. She watched two movies last night and didn't budge from her spot in my arms. She has spunk, but has that laid back gentle giant feel about her. I can see her being a great companion to young children. She would also be a fantastic addition to a home with an older dog who needs calm/quiet company.
Although she wasn't a fan about being escorted into the crate for bed-time, she settled quickly. She is picky about peeing on a leash, but hasn't had any accidents so far. A bath is on the agenda for tomorrow.
If there's someone out there that wants the 'gentle giant' dog but in a smaller package, Pika is your girl.

We had a homecheck for Migo today that went very well! I will know within the next day or so whether he's going to be adopted :) I have my fingers crossed for you Migo boy! Other than that, it was Jerrad and my 7 year dating anniversary. Eventually we'll go out for a nice meal, but if Migo were adopted, that's the best anniversary present we could get.
For now, Migo is keeping careful watch of his chickens, but trying not to count them:

Hi there, we love Pika at the first sight and love her even more after we read up about her, she seems like exactly what we've been looking for. We'd really like her to join our family if she doesn't mind young kid and cat, We've already sent out the adoption application for her! Hopefully we will receive reply soon! ^_^
I'm sorry Debbie, Pika went home yesterday to live on the beach in Sooke. She was a very popular girl! We only wish more dogs were lucky enough to a have multiple fantastic applications.
Pika still has pups available for adoption.
Best wishes,
Emily
Hi There,
We have a adopted Pika's pup Rook. I still can't believe Rook has pug in her as she looks like a Shepard/Husky. Would love some more updates on Pika !
